TRI-POD HEADS

I have a Camlink TPPRO24A Tripod. I find the tripod itself is very sturdy and solid but the head and quick release plater are a disaster and I dont feel comfortable using it. Is it possible to fit another head from a different manufacturer to this Tripod?

Or, can anyone recommend a tripod that is fairly sturdy/safe/flexable. I have a budget of €80-€120

    Thanks
    LeoB

    I got a manfrotto 7302yb for Christmas,

very nice tripod, but don't think you can change the head. Doesn't bother me as the ball head on this one is pretty damn sturdy, holds up to 3.5kg at any angle. I've tested it with full battery grip on the camera with a lens that weighs a kilo at diverse angles, not a budge.

You can also reverse the mid section so it hangs upside-down, you can also spread the legs out pretty wide for low shooting.

There are more expensive versions of it that you can change the head on, starting from about €130 upward.

The Manfrotto 322RC2 head is fantastic, it has a 3/8" Thread on it's base that will attach to most Tripods with interchangeable heads. If your tripod has the 1/4" screw thread you can just add a small thread adapter and Bob's your Uncle. It is just over the €100 mark for the head only. The other Manfrotto option is the 728 tripod complete with head for under €130. If it were my money I would buy the head now and upgrade the legs later (if required).

Thank you for replies folks. I have been in touch with shop where I bought the tri-pod and they are going to sort it for me. I quoted some independent reviews from their web site which stated the head is "not user friendly" (Im paraphrasing), the quick release plate is not a tight fit so when I turn camera on its side the plate actually moves. They are going to replace the head with either a camlink head or manfrotto head or do an exchange. Its still under guarentee. Tomorrow I get my first manfrotto me thinks. Thanks again
