Facebook Places in Facebook app

    I thought I read last week that facebook places was available in Ireland, but anytime I check the app, it still says "this service will be in your region soon, thank you for your patience". Well, i'm all out of patience. Do I need to activate it on the main site or something?

    the data protection commisioners werent happy with the feature so i think that is delaying it

    facebook are rolling this out on a phase by phase basis.

    if you are on a US IP then it's available to you.
