Hi guys just wondering if some one can help me on this, the pipes froze a couple of days ago. Had a plumber out on xmas eve and he showed me where the water is coming in from and said that a blow heater and a few hours would sort it out. I don't have a blow heater and couldn't get one anywhere. I've been using a heat gun but getting nothing so far!

Any ideas would be great, thanks.

    Conserve water!

Are you sure you're heating the right spot?

I had a fan heater running full whack for 8+ hours at where I thought the pipes were frozen (just inside the kitchen where the main feed comes in from outside) with no joy. In pure desperation I pulled the insulation off the pipe outside and left a hairdryer running on it for 15 mins. Instant water.

I had a few heaters along the pipes near the walls and it came back on.
