    Hi Guys

Got myself a new iphone 4 so gave my old 2g to my wifes sister, it was working perfect, so I went to restore to the defaults, looked to have gone thru ok but then rebooted and once start back up again, just goes to the apple icon and then sits there with the circle thing going around, tried to connect up to itunes but because it is not started it wont recognize it. Tried rebooting and everything but nothing works, any idea's?

I presume you unlocked it with QuickPWN or similar? It happens occasionally, just try the unlock again. You should be able to get it to DFU Mode.

iPhone 2G's cannot be officially unlocked. So your looking at unlocking and jail breaking again.

    Best guide is here: http://www.iclarified.com/unlock/index.php

Connect it to the laptop and open iTunes. Put the iPhone in DFU mode. It should then restore.
