Keeping Car Clean in this weather....

The equivalent of swimming against the current and on some of the days arriving unscathed was good enough for me but over the last 4 weeks my paintwork has come under attack for grit/salt/snow/ice/dirt + slush + ice and the interior has seen better days.

Today's thaw (ish) was the first chance to revive her but what do people do during these inclement weather conditions to care for your or do you care and wait for better days?

Thinking about getting the maxwash in the local Maxol myself. It does under the car too, so gets rid of all the crap.

I'll always get some looks when I drive out of the wash though :p

I'll probably toss a bucket of water into each wheel arch to clean out the salt, might leave the big wash until the wet weather clears in a day or so.

Once its clean I expect a good wax would be the best protection. Not driving on the gritted roads too.
