'Eircom Mobile Broadband' Problem!

I just got a 50 euro bill on top of the fixed monthly bill(19.99), according to the e-mobile site(where you check your bills and settings). And apparently I went over by at least 3gb and half or so. The monthly data allowance is 10Gb.

I hardly used the internet this month(As the monthly data allowance resets on the 5th of every month), at most I used about 5gb. I can't figure out how I managed to get in this sort of situation, they didn't even send me a text saying "You have reached 80% of your 10GB Data Allowance.", or "You have reached 100% of your 10GB Data Allowance." which they usually do every month. And every time you connect to the internet and have reached 100% of the monthly data allowance, they send you a text to remind you. They didn't do that this month(And i'm 100% sure the 'data notification' setting was on at the time).

A week ago, I even checked e-mobile to see my usage, and I used just 4gb and a half, and haven't really been using the internet that much since.

This is the second time this has happened. The last time it happened, they automatically gave me an extra free 2gb to use that month.

Now the question is; What happens if I just leave the 20 euro fixed bill in my bank account(AIB), and empty the rest of my money???

Because I want to try and appeal it before they take it out. If they take it out, then there is no going back(As a few people have told me that).

    Thanks.

The bank will probably overdraw your account, and charge you a fee for doing it. Either that or the DD will bounce, and you will be charged for that too.

Removing your money is not the way to go. Contact eircom first, and sort out what went wrong.

    Thanks for the reply.

Well to be honest, i've contacted Eircom a load of times to try and solve it, but they don't seem to understand me over the phone, visa versa. And they keep on transferring me to different support teams that eventually go round in circles. I rang them up a billion times and i'm just fed up with all of this.

They won't be having me as a customer anymore, that's for sure.

I actually don't mind paying the bank fee(I don't care how much it is) aslong as it's not Eircom.

    I think they're a fraud, that's just my opinion.
