Impact of ball type on slice/draw?

Soft balls are used so that the downward contact of the club with the ball gets a better grip, producing more reverse spin, giving greater control around the green.
Does it follow then that a slice, caused by contact of the club more with the left side of the ball, will be exaggerated by using a softer ball? Same for a draw.
So better ball could mean worse golf?

It will generate a bigger slice or hook.
