Oh dear god, somebody take the mic out of Pierce Brosnan's hand while he still has a career...

I love ABBA, but this pretty much devalues all of their music... Streep isnt a bad singer though... Seems they've tried too hard to make the songs fit the story though...

Funny how these dreadful, knowing "camp" musicals rake in a fortune at the box office.
United Kingdom and Ireland and Malta $132,342,643! Worldwide gross $609,841,637

That's what it was always about and nobody did it better than Abba.

Which is no indicator of quality. In the same way that Justin Beiber is successful but not that talented.

Proving that by and large modern movie audiences are idiots.

    Here here,

Also released the sane year as The Dark Knight.

I omly watched literally the last 15min of it after "come fly with me" on BBC and I wanted to scoup out my eyes.

As an ABBA fan I never went to this release. I refused to watch to on TV [SKY] .... then one night, after a big bottle of red wine, it sort of came on next and I was too lazy to switch ....

Yer know, I was singing along and even dancing ~ "if you seek amy" the story line ~ Brosnan has had better and so on and so forth .... just suspend logic and watch with a big bottle of wine!

No point in analysing this piece of frivolity ~ I love it, but am reluctant to admit so in polite society. :)

God almighty, what a load of tripe:mad:.I was in someone else's house so I couldn't exactly change channels but its just as well I had a few bottles of (?) in me to numb the pain and then even it had a job to take effect.I bet all the ladies like it as it is a chick flick, but really bad.To think the real ABBA had some input in to this I think, what were they thinking?

At least she sang live, not lip-synched like the rest of them.

I agree on the fact that Pierce Brosnan can't sing!

I understand that Pierce Brosnan can be heard wailing most nights, trying to come to terms with the serious lack of judgement that made him agree to participate in this tripe.

Still, the old biddies are happy, I suppose.

ah he's on singing again... ffs.... And in a terrible Dublin accent, especially since it's only up the N4 from him.. .

Thought this film wasn't bad apart from the woeful miscasting of the male roles.
