HTC Wildfire or LG Optimus/Optimus One

Having trouble deciding between these two.

I'm planning on getting one for the basic stuff. Calls, text, web and a few apps.

I've heard that's there's some shenanigans with the latest LG update, is it the same with the HTC? Or is the older version on the LG good enough?

Is the Wildfire worth the extra 100+ quid?

Edit: Actually been looking at the Optimus One now as well, which is the front runner.

Wildfire is on 2.2 (Froyo) now. I'd definitely got for the Wildfire. While the resolution isn't great, it's a better camera, better processor, better screen and better pedigree.

eh huh, since when does 528mhz beat 600mhz?

And since when does QVGA beat HVGA?
I'd say Optimus One personally, but not the original Optimus

Was referring to the Optimus GT540 clearly. Didn't see the reference to the P500.

So the Optimus One (P500) or Wildfire? I can't decide. The better resolution on the P500 is leaning me towards it but HTC seems to be the better brand.

Or even the Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3 appears to be cheaper than both.
