That sounds a bit unfair tbh.

He really might have thought you'd like the jacket & top and might like a digital photo frame to upload some photos onto. You don't have to have a camera to do that, just a usb cable/memory card, photos could be from laptop/PC or phone.
Not everyone is quick at picking up 'hints'. Have you seen the boots ad where the woman is saying about CK1 and the guys playing with the hairdryer til he breaks it? (extremely stereotypical & not advocating it, as it can happen roles reversed, but just to exercise a point)

He obviously went out, spent time & picked you out gifts *he* thought you'd like.
Even if someone has bought me something I don't like, or something I already have, I'm always grateful to them because they made the effort. Yes I'm sure you're disappointed, but maybe if he's generally bad at presents next time just tell him a few things you'd like and he can pick one. I know people who just can't pick presents & have to ask what you'd like or else you'll end up with something random.

It's the thought that counts. :D

If you wish a general discussion on what other peoples partners bought them for christmas or the luck they had in dropping hints, this isn't the appropriate forum - and neither is it acceptable to make sweeping generalisations about the intelligence of one gender.

    Many thanks
