Volume buttons & others not working as normal

The 3 volumes buttons at the top right of the keyboard, no longer work as the should. I now have to hold Fn to more the volume up and down. Anyone know how I can change this back?

Try this

System Preferences > Keyboard > uncheck "Use all F1, F2 keys as standard function keys".
