hi all happy christmas to ya! took the dog for a walk this morning and came across two foxes in a field. the first one saw me straight away and ran, the second was sniffing along the ground and walked right up to me, came within 30feet to me and the dog! he looked up and must have got the fright of his life ha ha. seen two more (seperately) lots of rabbit tracks too, think i'll bring the rifle with me tomorrow. ps what do you guys do with the fox carcass after shooting?

Leave it out of sight in a deep drain or down in a cover. It is unsightly for passersby to see it from a footpath or a road. The farmer might not be best pleased to have it lying around his fields either. Some of the lads leave the fox near the farm building to show the farmer they are getting results, personally I wouldn't because it could upset children etc.
It was on here a while ago about leaving the fox out over night and come morning time it makes a good ambush for magpies and greys, have not tried it myself yet I think it was eddie b who was saying it. He got good results from it ;)
