Numbers from sim onto iphone 4

Hi, I have tried searching and can't find answer I am looking for so if I have missed it sorry for asking again! Just got iphone 4. Got sim cut down, with meteor. None of my numbers that were saved on my sim seem to be available on iphone. Is this normal or should I be able to access the numbers saved on my sim?

So Santa brought you a new shiny iPhone 4. If you go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and go down go Import sim contacts that should do it.
