Icicles hanging from the Grand Canal Aqueduct over the River Barrow in Monasterevin. Some of the icicles extended all the way down and into the river.

Ah, the river Barrow! I grew up on that rive , Carlow man here ;) Some beauty spots along it for sure, I miss them! On the Boyne nowadays and tbh, don't find it near as interesting.

Lovely shots, damn 'cool' in fact! :)

Nice pics mikka - I took some similar ones myself a couple of weeks ago, but didn't get the lovely backlighting through the arch that you shot.

I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to PCPhoto for his assistance in getting my pics printed in Todays Irish Times 28/12/10 and todays Irish Daily Star 28/12/10.

It is a great sense of achievement as an amateur photographer to see your photo's in the big circulations:):)
