Laptop to TV

    I want to connect my Laptop to my Tv.
    Ive just moved into new rented accomodation and the Tv is pretty old.
    It only has Component and RCA inputs on the back. No Scart, No HDMI, No VGA.
    My Laptop has VGA,HDMI and USB connections.

    Any ideas of how i can manage this?

    are you sure its a hdtv,i never saw a hdtv with no hdmi port.
    DOES the laptop have svideo out, sometimes a single yellow round port,or 8 pin port.
    see here vga to svideo, rca in =svideo,yellow =video in.

    set pc res 720x 576 svideo resolution, you may need to install powerstrip program to set this resolution.set refresh rate laptop to 60mhz max.
    is the tv a hdtv.
    you can buy a tv powercity 199euro lcd tv, tv/monitor 1024 x768 21inch resolution.it has 1 vga in port.
    720x576 = max resolution for a sd tv, older crt tv.

    Its not a HD Tv, i never said it was.
    Like i said its pretty old. But no matter the link you gave me helped with what i needed anyway! Thanks

    try 720x480, or720x 576 ,google powerstrip program download.
