I am putting in a tender for a Landini 8880 2wd Powerflow. It has low hours but some rust/rot has set in to the tin work (sea air!!). Its in very good order other than that and will need no money spent on repairs etc. I think its an early 90's model.

Have they any known problems that I should look out for.
What is the current minimum and maximum value of this tractor.

Or any other helpful comments that you care to offer, thanks.

AFAIK the 80 series were reliable apart as you say the ones before the zinc coated models were prone to rusting,

if it has a manual shuttle just ensure that it is working as it should and not too much whine, think they have a fairly small clutch so just ensure it has bite ,in any case they are an machine to work on,but the shuttle could be a costly fix, they rarely give problems

sorry would have no idea of it's value

A lot of Landinis spent a lot of time on the bogs due to ther ground drive suitable for turf cutting machines, if it has had a life on the bog i would steer clear or at least check any of the housings have been cracked and repaired especially the back axle trumpets where the reduction hubs are.

Thanks lads. It has spent its life in a city on flat dry ground doing gardening work only. From my research I think it is worth €6k tops.

What problems do you know of?

well - a bad rotting cab, weak hitch, price of parts. only good thing is the engine. clutches are a horrid price when they fail. only 11.2 gals per minute on the hydraulics. shure an mf 290 is a stronger machine at half the size. again just my opinion.
