Taxi issue

I flagged a taxi this evening to get me home from a night out with friends. Due to the weather and the road conditions I asked politely that he take it easy on the journey. As we reached the lights at the top of the small rise at Kilmainham lights, he decided to try and overtake the car in front. At that point, obviously his front wheels went into overdrive and he skidded into the opposite lane. I asked, calmly I may add (or as calmly as you do in said situations) exactly the thought process behind the manouvre.

At that point the driver became extremely defensive and annoyed. I asked for his number and reg, none of which he knew. I obviously got the number off the dash card and the reg when I excited the cab.

I just need advice as to the next step in terms of a complaint please.

    Thanks.
