Have been testing a galaxy tab for the last week and overall am dissapointed.

-Screen size is just too small
-default browser is terrible, opera doesnt work well on large screen and firefox os still beta
    -cpu performance is barely ok.
    - wifi reception seems weak compared to laptop at same location
    - only one charge option using samsung connector
    - not very practible as a phone due to Dom Joly effect

    +battery life good
    +screen quality is excellent
    +android market app works

is it a phone or a tablet computer?

Just started playing about with a Galaxy tab myself so not really got a good enough idea of it yet. Agree that the default browser is a bit rubbish though but liked Skyfire on it.

Screen size is perfect for portability

Dolphin HD is a far better browser

cpu is at least as good as htc desire and dell streak and way better than zte blade

    wifi for me is perfect

Spare chargers are readily available on fleabay

Dom Jolly thing i couldnt agree more with :)

It's horses for courses, really. 7" suits some people, doesn't suit others.

Personally, I love it and I developed my first app for it last week.

What did you come up with?

An app where you send your location via SMS to your friend and on his phone it shows the directions from where he is to you (and vice versa, of course).

Still a little rough around the edges, but it works.

Been using one for about 2 weeks now, seems to be just the right size (fits into a jeans back pocket if you're a lardarse).

Have yet to run into major annoyances -- I don't try to use it as a phone, got the Nexus S for that :D
