    Hi all

    (First post in DIY)

Just wondering has anyone any suggestions for the following. In my utility room I have a 4 inch vent hole covered with a plastic perforated screen on the inside. Now the thing is there are massive winds coming through this vent for example in under the door of the kitchen and makes the kitchen/sunroom colder than the rest of the house. Now I do not want to fill this with insulation. I need this room vented as there is an internal boiler and refuse bin in this room. Is there such a thing as a vent that will cut down on the amount of wind coming in without limiting the amount of work the vent will actually do.??????

    Any ideas on this.

    Many thanks.

You could consider replacing it with a mechanical vent.
