    Hi,

I've a KJW 1911 Co2 pistol and it was working away fine for me for the best part of 6 months but now it's fubar'd. Basically the slide is jamming constantly, it will fire a bb but will lock back and will take "a bit of persuasion" to move forward again!

I'd put this down to lubing and wear and tear but I did keep it well lubed (resisting all Quagmire references here) and it might be a coincidence but the exact same problem happened to a mate on the same day mine calved! I have taken apart the assembly and can see any obvious problems, the feed nozzle looks to be as it should too.

Any suggestions would be more than welcome! :)

Did you try a different mag? Same thing happened to me and it turned out my mag valve was letting too much gas out when fired and the slide would seize up.

Funny that you mention mags, as it first acted up when I put my mates mag into the pistol as his had just seized up. I'll have a look at them in a while and post a few pics afterwards.

    Thanks! :)

have a look at the sight screw. If you over-tighten that screw, it may sometime bind into the loading nozzle, preventing proper cycling.

when the slide jams does it jam fully back or only a small bit

When the slide cycles it moves maybe 30% of the way forward. It looks like it is catching on the front part of the inner barrel assembly. I have been thinking of sanding it down a bit but I'll get pics up later today to show you what I mean.

Many thanks for the replies so far! :)

Check the barrel bushing on the front of the slide. I have gone through 3 since I bought mine and as it is failing it will cause cycling problems.

Might be a stupid question but here goes.. where did you get the replacement barrel bushing?

Barrel bushing it was! A couple of friendly taps with a hammer and it's sorted again.

Many thanks for all the replies Gents!
