Maynooth Band!

    I'm hoping to set up a band in Maynooth, or Maynooth area! Genre would be rock, hard rock, and metal!
    Influences would be all sorts :) rory gallagher, iron maiden, thin lizzy. Even harder stuf like slayer, grungey stuff like the pixies. whatever! as long as it rocks!
    Pretty much have to fill the whole band out... theres me, i play guitar, playing for 9 years, i'm no zakk wylde but i'm not bad! so a drummer, bassist and singer :)
    I'm 20 so hoping to get people in or around that age.
    ideally i would like to do original material.

    I'm from Maynooth and play guitar/sing as well as looking to play in a band but I kinda grew out playing of metal a long time ago! I'd be into Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, PJ Harvey, Dinosuar Jr. etc.

    Hope it goes well though!

    Not looking for a permanent band, but I wouldn't mind jamming a bit. I'm based in Dunboyne, play rhythm guitar, bass, learning drums at the mo and I sing..

    Bit of everything really, though less influences the heavier it gets. With my own band we'd cover stuff from like Kings of Leon and Killers to Lizzy and Rage..

    Well see I'd really only be able to jam a few times, can't commit to a lot of time. I'll be working a lot, and got my band and whatnot..
