UPS and "tracking" packages.

    Hi folks,

Waiting on a package to arrive by UPS, today is the delivery due date but obviously with the weather etc... then it could easily and understandably be delayed.

From looking at their "tracking" website my package went from the Midlands in Britain to Cologne and last night it arrived in Shannon... and that's the last record of it on the tracking.

Does anyone know what happens next? From Shannon does it have to go to another warehouse for distribution or does it go straight to the end destination? What I'm trying to figure out is should there be more electronic footprints or updates or upon arriving at Shannon is that the last update I get and it'll just turn up delivered on time some time today?

Hopefully someone can answer the query - thanks folks!

Depeneds on where in the country it's going.

Their main depot is in Dublin though, so I guess they couldn't get the flight in to Dublin, it diverted to Shannon, and then they decide how best to deliver.

Delivery is to Dublin City Centre - damn was hoping delivery would be today but looks unlikely now...

If its in Shannon but for Dublin it should show a departure scan from Shannon and then an arrival scan into Dublin and then an out for delivery scan.

With the airport situation as it is I do know they were having trouble with getting flights into the correct airports.

Just sent u a PM with a contact in UPS Shannon, normally lot more helpful than customer service

Cheers - the last update I have is:

SHANNON, IE 22/12/2010 20:38 ARRIVAL SCAN

so it looks like it's still in Shannon... damn.

    Hey Bob the dog,

could you PM me this number please? Package showed "arrival scan" 3 days ago in shannon but this morning says "ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS" . I have emailed previously but no reply. And I have tried the numbers on the web site but it hangs up after 3 rings. thanks
