    Hey, guys.

So, apparently I'm getting a Wii for Christmas which is pretty sweet considering I didn't ask for anything this year so I'm really stoked and was wondering if you guys could help.

What are some really good Wii games for single player? I got the black wii set from HMV which comes with mario kart so I know that'll be handy for multiplayer situations but looking for some decent games to play over the holidays because looks like I'll be snowed in again!

    Any help would be appreciated!

It really depends on what genre you're into. The Nintendo franchise's are easy choices: Zelda; Twilight Princess, New super Mario Bros Wii, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2,Metroid Prime series and Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Third party games that deserve a mention: Mad World and House of the Dead.

i got wii fit plus for christmas and its a laugh! makes you look ridiculous though so its definitely a game to be played by yourself! :D

sports resort is quite good too and if you are in to retro mario you can now buy 'Super Mario all stars' just like the snes had! :)

I have All Stars and it's exactly the same as the SNES version, the disc boots directly to the SNES game with no extra content and only runs in 50 Hz (you'd think they'd have used the 60 Hz version as Sega did with the Sonic Mega Collection?). Despite this it still looks very well on my LCD TV via component cable whereas my real SNES doesn't look anywhere near it.

The soundtrack CD and history book are worth a gander though. :)
