4 years ago my ex-partner bought a Canon 400d for Xmas.It was for the two of us really, and we used it a lot.Now that we've separated I want to give her the camera (got me eyes on an upgrade!).I am holding on to the creaky old laptop,Ive got her a new one loaded with all the pics of our son from the last few years. However the Canon Zoom Browser and all the software that came with the camera is for Windows XP.The laptop I got for her has Windows 7 on it.Will it be ok to install the two discs on the new laptop-will they be ok?

Yes, you can install the software just fine.

And if that's all you want you're done. Otherwise you can go to the Canon Support website and download Win 7 updates, but you will [still] need to the older versions installed [even if they don't work/but they do as I've done this myself].
