Factor in... oh wait, that's been done! :P I have to say that the two of you cracked me up with your comments. lol

Seriously though, Amazon do deliver this item, I just checked myself too. With that said, the Acer 3700 can be had for for £249.99 on Ebuyer and has virtually identical specifications; the exception being the lack of a DVD drive.

So too sum up, since you're paying approx. £30 for the DVD drive with the Asus, not factoring in P&P, it all depends on how much you want the DVD drive. I'd say most people would opt for the model without one and save money, but, then again, there are those who would want a DVD drive, so to them this would be a good deal.

But if you are spending more than £25 is shipping not free?

Funnily enough, no. I went all the way to the end of the checkout process and I was given a price of £6.55 for delivery, even though Amazon stated the the item was "Eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping" when it was in my basket.

When I click on "Why didn't I qualify for free Super Saver Delivery?", under the delivery price on the checkout page, a pop-up appears telling me "Not Eligible:Items delivered to addresses outside the UK are not eligible for free Super Saver Delivery."

Given how Irish customers have been able to avail of Amazon's "free Super Saver Delivery" for some time now, I can only surmise this is an Amazon site error and that any Irish customer ordering this item should be entitled to it. As such, I would recommend anyone ordering this item to contact Amazon beforehand to find out the nature of this, seemingly, incorrect delivery charge.

Eh, no.........It's sold and shipped within the EU so they have to keep their grubby little mits off it.

    Check reviews online
    but the specs are fine

Don't know why people are so scared of amazon.. its usually cheap or free delivery and theres never any other 'hidden charges'.. its grand

Bought a Sony laptop as a Xmas present through Amazon - no bother.

Bought one of these a few weeks ago and it was shipped free from Amazon no problem at all. Its a cracking bit of kit but I am still getting used to it so it will take a while to get its full potential realised.
It cost approx €290 all said and done. Only issue I have is that the Amazon description mentioned wireless keyboard and mouse but they are wired.

Has anyone else purchased? Would love to hear feedback?

Also I have one issue with it and that's the little flashing LED on top of the PC - its annoying if you are watching a movie in a dark room and also it keeps flashing when the PC is i sleep mode and that's really annoying behind the TV

Not familiar with the device.. but could you not just put some black electrical tape over the LED?

Ya that's more than likely what I will end up doing - PC actually looks really nice so I am not keen on slapping a bit of tape on it but if needs must....

Yes not so much of a bargain anymore but I picked it up in the PC Clearance--While Stocks Last section on Amazon and that's a favourite area for me as there are often some great deals - I will post anymore I find there
