Google Chrome problem

    Hi all,

was hoping for a bit of advice.

Have started using Chrome as my browser about 2 month ago. Had initially installed it 6-8 months ago (for a particular website) but only changed it to my default 2 months ago. What a difference from IE.

However yesterday it stopped working on me. (Had last used it on Monday night) Started it up and it just stayed as a blank page with 'waiting for cache' in the bottom left. I X ed out and tried again, same thing. After a couple of restarts nothing had changed. A mate told me to look at the task manager, even when it wasn't open task manager was showing chrome using the CPU.

Last night I uninstalled it. Have just re-installed it and it has spent the last 10 minutes trying to open the 'getting started with Google chrome' page.

The only update that has taken place over the last 3-4 days was an update to Utorrent on Sunday or Monday.

Any ideas? Really liked it,so fast.

If you like Chrome I'd recommend getting SRWares' Iron browser. Based on the chromium source.

Anyways, your mate was right to ask you to check the Task Manager. Close all processes that are named "Chrome.exe" and uninstall.

Download ccleaner and run that (run the Registry Cleaner part).

Install it again and see if that resolves your problem.
