Any specials or recomendations?....i haven't watched "live" tv in 3 years, but it's a bit dry for tv shows now with the hiatus.

Whistle and I'll come to you,
BBC 2, 9.00 pm, Christmas Eve.
BBC Two is bringing viewers a Christmas Eve ghost story on
24 December 2010 with a one-off drama Whistle and I’ll Come to You based on
a 1904 story by MR James and starring John Hurt in the lead role as James Parkin,
who encounters an apparition on a desolate beach.

Also the Irish animated feature 'The Secret of Kells' is showing on RTE at 1.40 pm in the day,

other than that it's pretty dissappointing.

I'm now convinced Comedy Central is programmed by a machine.

And Channel 4 is the most hold/cold station ever. I've never seen such large gaps in the quality of programming on one station before.

Top Gear Special on St. Stephens Day. Usually worth the watch.

Wal-E is also on New Years Day on BBC.

    love Wall-E :D

I haven't seen Wall-E yet so will check it out, but there seems to be FECK ALL on tv today, i only liked the first Shrek movie. Hate all the Xmas specials from BBC and ITV....hate soaps, hate UK comedies which are never funnny.

My fave tv Xmas me,ory was a Trouble marathon showing ALL of season 2 of What I Like About You on Xmas day, starting at 9am - 6pm, i had a blast!

Dont forget to watch the Queens message at 3pm.

    (Only Messing!)

'Come Fly With Me' is on BBC1 at 10pm. It's a new series by Little Brittain's Matt Lucas and David Walliams. It's a mockumentary of shows like airline, etc.

Just went through the schedules for today and am highly disappointed, awful.

Scrooged is on at 1pm on CH4 though, and Tango & Cash is on a 9pm on ITV4, as well as Die Hard on Film 4, but I only watched that a few weeks ago!

Christmas Day, 1973. Looks better than today's lineup!
You'd be laughing your ass off all evening, and not a soap in sight.

Not one thing on I watch to watch, fail.

Yeah, i wouldn't mind a Harry Potter or Narnia movie on today, guess i missed the boat.
It's a real drossfest on tv, I'm not a fan of Dr. Who....way too cheesy and childish. Eastenders and that ilk....ugh!

So i'm gonna watch a few movies like Toy Story 3.

I love Scrooged myself, i saw it in the cinema when it came out + seen it loads of times, Bill Murray is brilliant!, but...it's kinda aged now.

jeebus...ive become my parents....I remember when the TV used to be good at Christmas.

what happened to programmes like the royal institution christmas lectures?

bloody sky with theie david attenborough monsters on sky 3d.....already pay them hd subscription - any chance they could bloody well throw that in as a christmas present in 2d format for my continuing loyalty

    wallander at 9 on bbc4

top gear special part 2 as someone mentioned

    dvd collection after that methinks

slim pickings or am I missing something.

there must be no money in providing quality programming over christmas - at least I dont have to be assaulted with multiple talent show christmas specials.......shoving the mundane and cringeworthy right down your visual and aural pathways for what seems like way way too long....

    maaaaaary buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurn!!!!!!!

oh well at least some good shows start up in january and that sky atlantic with the hbo shows looks like it might be good?
