Creating Virtual COM Ports

    Hey lads,

    I'm trying to install software on a laptop (XP) and the software looks for a COM port upon startup. The laptop doesn't have any com ports, so an error message is repeatedly shown.

    How would I go about setting up a virtual port in order to fool the software into thinking there is a printer set up (assuming this is a viable option) ?
