    Just bought tickets to see this guy in Whelans and I'd recommend you all do as well. He was on Today FM this morning and 2FM yesterday. The only thing he has realised is an EP, with an album planned for 2011..the buzz about this guy is something major, haven't seen such in a long long time (hate to make the comparison, but I remember Damien Rice pre O was something like this..his gigs + word of mouth created such a cult fan base).     He sounds very American when he sings.

    I find that pretty off-putting.

    saw him in Dingle a few weeks back, he's alright. There are far better Irish musicians out there at the moment IMO.

    Total rubbish. I know some people who know him and the word Knobhead was mentioned about him more than once and some other stories that shouldnt be mentioned on the internet!!!!

    Terrible diction and all his songs sound the same. All his songs just have a few chords then this scratchy muted guitar and it sounds like someone is killing a cat.

    Go to the Ruby sessions or The Zodiac Sessions in Dublin every week and you will find far better singer songwriters than this guy.

    I dont see the Damien Rice thing at all... At least Damien Rice is actually semi good

    He really does sound alot like John Buttler now its mentioned but he is just a really bad version of him. He aint anywhere near as good as JB technically and his songs are really just dull and the same scratchy plm muted thing over and over again.

    I see he also got into the charts afew weeks ago.

    If this guy is "The future of music in ireland" then we may aswell just give up now if music gets that bad.
