As the title says the water in my bathroom sink will not drain away. I have tried plunging but its no use. There is no problem with the bath or shower draining just the sink. What could be the problem???

The pipe that drains away the water may be frozen happen to us last year. Tyr draining the sink then pour in a little warm water.

    hi
im having this problem with my ensuite shower
i checked out the back and the waste pipe is frozen solid
it is amout 3 mtrs long
it is angled down for the flow but at the end before it drops it levels out so i guess water is frozen from there back to the house

anyone got an idea what is best thing to use to defrost it
a hairdryer out the back for half an hour on the pipe doesnt make me want to do it

lucky i have another shower to use
even after it thaws i might insulate it
any recomendations on what to use ?
    thanks stedeb
