Own brand blades

I mentioned in passing to herself that I was in need of some new DE blades and out of the goodness of her little heart she took it on herself to get me some. Now I have a packet of Tesco own brand blades sitting in the bathroom, stareing at me, dareing me to use them. Am I going to shred my face off? Will they dull after two shaves? Is value pack a good thing when it comes to blades? :)
They seem to me to be re-branded Wilkinsons. Has anyone tried them?

There is a thread on Badger & Blade about blades made in Isreal and the Tesco own brand blades are said to some from the same plant in Isreal as Personna blades, but made to different specs.

    Thread here; http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=51858&highlight=tesco+blades

    Some reviews here; http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?ltr=T&t=8168

Give them a go and remember your face will* grow back.

I too have read they're from the Personna factory - same as the Boots and Shaving Shack own brand blades.

I've used them and they def appear to be the same as the Personna blades I've used, I find them "ok" but personally I prefer Derby over them.

I'll load one up tonight and give it a lash. At worst I'll just scare the kids tomorrow morning. :)

How'd it go? I normally use Personna so find this pretty interesting.

I've tried both the tesco & boots blades and found the boots ones to be surprisingly good as well as cheap as pennies. The tesco ones not as good.

I posted only a couple of weeks ago over in the main thread, I picked up a pack of Tesco a while back and found them awful, worse I've ever used.

I wouldn't go that far. They are not as good as some, but I have found them perfectly adequate.

First shave was good with the blade as was the second but the third shave the blade was a bit dull. On my second pass I tend to loosen the handle of the razor by 1/2 a turn to get really close and I nicked myself twice - usually a very rare occurance for me.
My verdict: Nice when fresh out of the wrapper but dulls quickly on me.
