Adding pressure to Heatline boiler

    Hi all another heat issue.

I have a heatline gas compact boiler and have had an issue with the pressure on the boiler dropping from time to time from a leak somewhere I assume.

Now the issue is that I with the bad weather the pipe into the boiler has frozen so I cant add pressure that way.

I then tried adding pressure from the tap but I can only get it to half a bar pressure.

Now my thoughts on this being a complete plumber noobie is could I use a pressure washer or the power shower upstairs to add the amount of pressure I'd need?

Edit: Could I use the mains coming into the attic and feed it down to the boiler to add the pressure or from the mains going to the tap in kitchen ?

If this is a crazy idea please let me know as I need to get the heat on as I have a one week old new born and the plumber said just wait till Xmas and it will thaw out. (Not alot of help of him then)

Any help will be greatly appreciated

The only way you can pressurize it from the tank is if you have about 12 meters if head from the filling valve to the tank, which is very unlikely. There isn't enough pressure from the tank itself, and without mains, there's nothing you can do I'm afraid.

    Good news... well kind of.

I attached the power shower output to the boiler and voila had 2 bar pressure. Now the problem is that the water isnt circulating at all.

And a few of the rads have no water. I assume that the pipes have frozen from the boiler. Whats the best way to defrost them if any ?

edit: I do have mains pressure but not where the boiler is that feed has frozen and I assume the next rad after the boiler has gone dry and cant refill due to this reason.

If the pipes are frozen and you can't see them, then there's not much you can do about it I'm afraid, other than that, try bleeding the rads, and throw some hot water over the pipes you can see.
