Tesla Coil

    i watched a show in the states about an artist that built a Tesla Coil outdoors for some guys property in Ireland, was wondering if anybody might know bout this, it was rather large and was built maybe 6 to 7 yrs ago

    Aldi sell massive ones, self assembly, they were in last week, but sold out by 10am.

    back in the day Marconi and the lads were using spark gap transmitters across the Atlantic to Newfoundland , big 6-7 foot long sparks, artificial lightening back in the days before most people had electricity, some Newfies thought it was the work of the devil.


    Tesla coils are dangerous , not something you make at home.

    Nah probably not much more ha ha:o, I ve seen them a few times the smaller ones, my old physics leaving cert teacher had one they possibly built in the school? you really didnt want to go near that thing, but they look cool. Nicola Tesla lead a very interesting life by the way worth a read.
