    Headed west to Drombeg stone circle with one of the lads at work for the setting sun this afternoon but was greeted with snow when we reached Rosscarbery, didnt matter, good to be there, small crowd too, few pics

    Fantastic shots. Im afraid I was snowed in this morning and couldnt make the trip I had planned to the midlands.

    Bogman, do you have a bit of background info as to what the people in the images are doing and why?

    Not really, Tom by buddy pretending to drink the whiskey on the flat stone lol, others just hung around, the cremated remains of a human was found buried at the center of the circle, attracts a lot of people, hippies and the like, very quiet peaceful evening Grimes


    Might make an effort and go to Knockroe passage tomb tomorrow, pity you couldn't make it today urself

    Had to work myself this year and couldnt get to any site for the solstice.
    I was just reviewing your pics from knockroe last year, did the sunset work out when you were there last year?

    I have seen numerous photos of the Drombeg stone circle on the internet but never with the house in the background, I had assumed that the Stone circle was miles from the nearest house.
