Problem with DHL / Customs Help

I have ordered some gadgets from Hong Kong
Paid DHL Express delivery
Item was here in Ireland 11 days ago
Nothing happaned since
I have contacted DHL several times but no help
Today the fellow said it is 2 years to clear with customs
He was very rude no helpful
What can I do in this situation?

Ring the customs sorting office. My package was held for about a week last year, rang the office and they were very helpful. Said it would be cleared in 3 more days max and it cleared the next day it's probably just delayed because of the amount of extra packages they check during the holiday season.

My package was held in Laois and I spent almost a full day calling before they answered

My package is at Cork Airport Customs Office

Oh, no idea then, all you can do is keep ringing I suppose. I don't bother paying for express post anymore as it doesn't really speed the whole process up much, it gets the package into the country a day or two quicker but customs can stil hold them for a number of days.
Was the correct value of the items declared on the outside of the box? I ordered camera accessories from China once, the seller declared the value as €20 even though it was actually €300+, customs held the package for about two weeks then sent me a letter asking for a copy of the invoice. Took over a month to get the package from them!

Customs called me last monday asking for Paypal receipt
I sent it same day
They can check the webshop on internet as well. Half minute work only.

Email them again (assuming you have an email address for one of them) I had no response either so I followed up and someone else from a different department emailed back, said the lady who was dealing with my package was gone on holiday!

Oh wait you probably already have as you said you contacted them several times in the original post, I'm not much help! Hope you get it sorted soon.

what? theres no way... 2 months is the VERY most customs can hold it for. after that they have to return it or release it...
