    Hey lads,
I'm going to be getting a bass amp in the new year hopefully and I'm not to sure which one would be good. I'm just going to be jamming with a few friends and using it for practice. I'm looking to spend around 200- 250 ish as I haven't been playing that long.

    So far it's between:

    and

Any help would be great :)

While I have no experience of them, the two you have listed are reputable brands. Have you considered going used ? You will probably pick up a bargain here :

I was going to pile in and just say Markbass as that's my default answer any time I see a bass amp question on here but then I realised they would be out of your price range. I've heard good things about the Orange amps but I've never played one myself.

In my admittedly limited experience of second hand amps I have nearly always found them to be very troublesome. It seems like people don't take care of their amps anywhere near as much as their instruments so they'll have dents in the casing from where they've been banged off walls, cigarette burns, suspicious stains and worse. With that said, it's pretty easy to see if an amp has been abused so obviously don't buy anything unless you're satisfied with it whether it's new or used.

This mightnt be a bad choice. http://www.musicstore.com/en_EN/EUR/Basses/Bass-amps-cabinets/Warwick-Take-12.1-Combo-/art-BAS0003650-000
a bit more poke than the two listed in the OP for just under 200 quid mark.

I'v been keeping an eye on adverts too just to see if anything comes up and I will keep looking but just in case something doesn't i'd like to have an idea of another one to get :)

I'd love to get a markbass. Played one in musicmaker and it was a great amp but it's a little bit out of my price range :(

I'l have a look online and check out some reviews for that warwick. Do you have any personal experience with it?

Thanks for the input lads :)

the cheapest markbass i've seen the the micromark on thomann for 492(that sound your hearing is my jaw hitting the floor) 500 for a cube, i know its qual but still a bit steep

the warwick Blue Cab 60 combo got a 8.8 rating on ultimate guitar and is 130(not inc p+p) on thomann, looks good for that price with a few options on it and apperently its supposed to be really reliable, looked
to me the only good budget bass amp(just my opinion)

I had the LA15 nice size and weight had to disconnect the tweeter in it because it was noisy, little low on power, if you could scrape a little extra together i'd go for:

    or
