    Hi Guys,

Is it possible for a person to "hide" behind the data protection act so as not to have info on them released, whiich would prove them guilty of a crime.
I understand the act is there to protect our privacy but what if the info could prove a persons guilt?
Would i be right in thinking that only a guard would have the power to get such info released through a warrant if a crime is believed to have been committed, or can the person/company/etc that holds such info still refuse?

    Thanks
