    Hi Folks

I'd really appreciate any tips on where to buy an L Shaped Showerbath and then separately, Thermostatic Mixer Valves, Shower Heads and Booster Pump etc.

Plan is to refurb main Bathroom and also plumb to En Suite.

Looking for decent quality at a fair price.

    - If you have used anywhere online or otherwise (no rush on delivery) I'd love to hear suggestions and would really appreciate it :)

This bath is quite popular done by all the suppliers. Unfor recs are allowed only by PM. There is a wide variety of pumps and thermostatic valves to.

If a particular supplier is mentioned eg: Joe Bloggs for Monsoon Pumps then there will be infractions and edits.

All thats allowed to be given is experience of a brand...Not a supplier. PMS Only on suppliers.

    Thanks

For my part.. I would shop around. This is available in many suppliers. You cannot go wrong with the hudson reed house of amber range of thermo showers done by many and Monsoon pumps.

If your money can stretch a bit more then grohe showers are good.

Just bear something in mind about the bath. It looks nice and is lovely but imagine how much a replacement screen will be if it breaks...

Makes a standard bath seem that much better now!

Quadruple hinged alloy and glass 4 panel space saving shower screen can be got from any builders providers or diy store for well under 100 euro now.

Thats what I did.Works a treat too.Folds back flush against the wall for easy bath/shower access.Very handy for when its the kids bathtime.:)

It should work very well with an L-Shaped bath, and its also alot lighter than the heavier single bath screen.I noticed quite a difference in weight between the folding screen and the large single glass screen, the single glass screen was alot heavier and more stubborn to open, alllmost afraid to open and close it incase it shattered.

The main reason why I went with the flush folding screen was to do with both ease of access to bath and also safety, with regards a large heavy glass panel and kids.;)

    Its also cheaper too.

yeah I would have to agree the 4 fold bath screen is good and keenly priced by a few manufactures. sometimes you have to buy the bath complete with screen/panel etc. other places will let you buy just the bath if you want so you could get the 4 fold screen somewhere else and save a few pound. bath panel is important tho if ur not tiling it because u wont have much of a choice of panels to use because of the shape of the bath.

i would go with paddys option... The screen is cheaper to replace should you need to.

Thanks all - Delighted with that.

    - On the topic of tiling in the Bath.... Does it work well if done right? I have images of gaps, and flaking, cracked grout due to the flexing of the fibreglass Bath etc.

It's a real eye-opener researching the thermo mixer valves and showerheads, seems to be tacky looking rubbish at the cheap end up to €999 for the decent looking kits - Bah!!!

yes if its tiled in it can look brilliant and really set the bathroom off if done properly. if not it can look cheap and tacky!

Buy a good brand thermo mixing valve. Makes parts easier to source in years to come.
