Where would I find info on the pros and cons of where to base a business geographically?

Business would be internet based and will have ownership in UK and Ireland.

I would advise one of the many start-up incubators around the city. Digital Hub, UCD Nova building, MediaCube at IADT. I know LINC at IT Blanch has space at the moment.

You may get advice from the local county enterprise board, or perhaps Enterprise Ireland (if you have enough potential).

Locate it in, or near to, a f**king sh|thole. Look around Dublin for unemployment blackspots. See if a motorway now runs near one of them now, and check the pros and cons of setting up your business there.

Now, you may think that I'm taking the piss. I'm not. The bigger a sh|thole the place is, the more chance of you been eligible of getting a grant for setting up a business there. Check the local FAS offices, and see if they do courses that would educate people to work in your business. Check with the local County Councils, and see are there any areas that you'd get a grant for.

Check with IDA Ireland to see how bad a sh|thole the place has to be to get a grant. The longterm (since the 80's) unemployment blackspots usually turn into sh|tholes, as the kids, bored out of the brains, turn to criminal damage. Some unemployment blackspots are new (since the 00's) and thus may not exhibit such bad signs, but still allow you to get grants, tax breaks, or other things to allow your business to grow easier. And as it's internet based, it could be in an industrial estate. Look at the amount of such industial estates in North Dublin. Don't think there was anything in the way of jobs there before they were built...

    Best of luck :D

Isle of Man. Short term it costs more to set up but long term you pay less tax.
