Boiler working but not in cold weather

Condensing boiler has been working fine up until about a week ago. it just isn't coming on as per the timer. I have to go out and remove side from boiler and press the 'red button' to fire it. Then its fine. This seems to only happen when the temperature goes below a certain temp. Any ideas?
