airbag/seatbelt question

    will the airbag in the steering wheel deploy in an accident if the driver is not wearing their seatbelt?? or dose it depend on the make/model of the car?

    Yes, it will deploy (assuming a frontal impact). It's not designed to help if the seatbelt isn't worn though - the seatbelt stabilises the occupant and prevents flail injuries, as well as limiting impact loads via the pretensioner. Airbags in US cars are bigger and designed to fire faster to prevent injury to someone who isn't wearing a seatbelt.
