Can you do one if your degree is three years or do you have to have a four year degree?

Three years is okay but competition will be stiffer. Most English undergrads are three years, that includes stuff like engineering too.

Spread your net wide - consider European multinationals, uni attendance in mainland Europe is much lower than Ireland, so the prospects are better. Here are a few I know about in Switzerland:

    Swiss Re

    UBS

    Credit Suisse

    Novartis

    Roche

    Nestle

    Zurich Financial Services Group

    ABB

    Syngenta

    Richemont

    Holcim

    Synthes

    Julius Bär

Most of these companies use English as the working language and it beats me as to why we don't see more Irish graduates... The quality of life and the financial packages offered here are excellent and you can always pop back to Ireland at the weekend!

    Good luck with that,

    Jim (20+ years in Switzerland)
