    Hi there,

I am going to Kuredu on an all inclusive honeymoon in January for 10 Nights.

I am just wondering has anybody been and roughly how much spending money we would need to bring? Need to get the currency sorted before the banks close for xmas.

    Thanks in advance,

    W.

Hi W, we had our honeymoon in the Maldives in Jan 2006, also an all inclusive holiday, i don't remember exactly how much money we spent but it was very little. Basically everything relating to food and drinks including cocktails at the bar were included, think there might even have been free ciggies if you were of that leaning...
The only thing i remember paying for was scuba diving and i think that was about $25-50US per dive, but you got all gear and transport for that, courses cost more. We also went out to another restaurant once or twice for change of scenary for dinner, think that cost about $50 as well.
If you make a few daytrips you'll obviously need spending money but outside of the resorts islands it's very poor and cheap, like $5 for flip flops , Tee-shirts etc..
Any spa treatments will cost you $50-100 per session, wife spent about half a day getting pampered, think it cost about $75.
American dollars was the money of choice when we were there, presume it's still the same. I'd say if ye took $1000 cash and a credit card you should be fine, you could prob charge a lot of things to your room and settle up at end, you prob would have given them a credit card to hold the room anyway?
Sorry couldn't be more help, the Maldives was the most amazing place i've ever been, hope to go back some day. If you do nothing else on your holiday do a scuba dive or 10, one of best dive sites in world.
Oh yeah just remembered when we arrived we were asigned a 'waiter' in the reataurant who's job was to sort you with whatever you need, think we tipped him about $50 when leaving.
