    Hi Folks,

I just installed Win7 Ultimate on a machine however it is having trouble with the integrated Soundcard which is the Soundmax AD1888 chipset. The motherboard manufacturer does not provide Win 7 drives (maybe because its an older board). I have found a few tutorials online that all suggest using Win XP comparability mode to run the driver install but when I try that it either crashes or if it finishes it has no effect. Does anyone know if using Win XP comparability is correct or will it mess up the installation?

Also I found a drivers for other motherboard manufacturers who used the AD1888 chipset could I use those drivers?

    Dave
