Opened a half frozen can in the car sprayed all over the place including phone. This was 10 days ago and all was fine till today and earpiece stopped working. Everything else going fine. I can still make calls using external speaker. I can make out water sensor on bottom of phone and it is White are there any others? Would it be worth sending to apple and seeing what happens?
I tried the net to find locations of sensors but can only find pics of dock connector one. Any ideas ?

Guaranteed to be one in the headphone jack.

There is. Its directly down where the tip of the ear phone jack will be. It should be white / off blue.

What did you spill exactly? Coke and most fizzy drinks are extremely corrosive to silicon apparently. They gum it up pretty good. If any got into the phone it might be buggered.

It was a can if sugar free redbull style stuff. Can't see anything down headphone jack would it be obvious if it had been triggered? Have I anything to lose by sending It in to apple ?

As far as I know they are red when triggered. But there are a few more inside the phone which you can't see. If you send it back, the most that will happen is it will be sent back as water damaged. They are fairly quick to spot water damage though. You could be lucky! :pac:

Well i got lucky with this.

Delivered new (refurb?) phone at 10.00 am Tuesday morning.
