Time Machine firmware 7.5.2 causing me problems

Hi,

I noticed this morning my 1TB Time Machine was flashing amber. It suggested updating the firmware to 7.5.2 which I did.

Now my Macbook (mid 2007 range) cannot connect to the Wireless N network that is setup. It can connect to the Wireless G network but I want to connect to the N network. My iPhone 3GS cannot connect to the N network either but my iPad can.

The N network is hidden so I enter the SSID and password but it says connection timed-out.

Is my only option to downgrade the firmware and just put up with the amber light?

It's possible that your wireless connection security is TKIP. TKIP security on 802.11n wireless networks have been disabled in the 7.5.2 firmware update.

If that's the case, changing the security on your AirPort Base Station to something like WPA might work.
