    Dublin Bus as at 11.10
    Monday, December 20, 2010

    Updated 11:10

Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to adverse weather conditions the diversions and curtailments listed below are in place.

Road conditions are very icy across the city and we will continue to monitor all routes and corridors throughout the day and will update the information below continuously.

Route 7/a - Unable to serve Loughlinstown. Towards the City Centre buses are using Frascati Rd.
Route 8 - Towards the City Centre buses are using Frascati Rd.
Route 44 - Unable to serve Ballyogan Estate.
Route 44b - Unable to serve Glencullen, terminating at the Blue Church, Kilternan.
Route 45 - Unable to serve Oldcourt or Wolfetone Estates. Terminating at Ballywaltrim. Towards Merrion Sq. buses are using Frascati Rd.
Route 59 - Unable to serve Killiney Hill (The Druids Chair)
Route 63 - Unable to serve Ballyogan Estate.
Route 65 - Unable to serve Ballyknockan, terminating at Blessington.
Route 84 - Unable to serve Harbour Rd, Greystones.
Route 111 - Unable to serve Loughlinstown, terminating in Cherrywood.
Snow is extremely heavy in south Dublin at the moment, I'd expect many more curtailments soon.

The power went out just there, to complicate matters.

Last time that happened, in college, one of the girls was freaked out that the buses would stop running where the power went down :pac::pac::pac:

its taken my gf 2.5 hrs to go northbound on the m50 from Cherrywood to Sandyford.

Avoid the southern M50 if you can at all!!!!

Why have they closed the Port Tunnel?

Why have they closed the Port Tunnel?
There was a broken-down truck on the M1 near the airport causing tailbacks that threatened to extend back into the Port Tunnel. For safety reasons they could not allow traffic to stall inside the tunnel (in case of fire etc) therefore it was closed.
