Folks used to be snug with this boiler between setting 2 - 3. Now they have to go to "5" the max being "6". I realise its cold weather but even allowing for that the boiler is not performing as it used to unless its near maxed.

Plumber has changed the PCB - same problem.

    Its three years old.
    Rads have been bled.

Are Baxi boilers really bad quality?
Should they just get a new boiler?

The plumber is getting frustrated as he has tried his best but problem persists.

    What to do?

Well, Baxi is a brand name, not a boiler type. We neither know the thermal demand, the output of the boiler or anything to answer your question.

How high is the flue gas temperature?

We are consumers, Ive no idea. All we know is that the boiler is not doing its job as it used to unless near maxed.

A general question. What are the top three reliable boiler brands?
Are Baxi the Rolls Royce or Lada of the boiler world?

The plumber has tried his best to fix this with approx 4 visits and part swaps and he is running out of ideas as are we.

There are no bad boilers anymore:).
If it were me i would look for a boiler technician to identify the fault and not the installer, firstly you must identify if the boiler is producing the correct amount of heat output and going through it's cycle, once you prove the boiler is doing it's job properly then find out if there is circulation issues maybe sludge or a bypass opened up to much, Gary.

Thanks, Where does one find a "boiler technician" :-)
