    Hi guys

Just something i would like to be cleared up, from the Irish ACCA website, it states
Students should register by 15 August to sit ACCA exams in December and by 31 December to sit exams the following June

but then when you go to complete the online form, you are brought to the UK ACCA website that states
Please note, we will need to receive your registration form and all supporting documentation by 15 August to entitle you to be eligible to sit your first exams in December; or 31 December to entitle you to be eligible to sit your first exams in June the following year

So my question to you guys is if i register online 2day and send off all docs required to the Dublin address, will i be eligible to sit the June 2011 exams? Living in Dublin would mean that any docs posted 2moro would reach them before the 31st, or even i could go to their address myself and hand them in.

The discretion between the two is one says register by, and the other says received by.

fire a mail off to the Irish office, or phone them. They are very helpful, I've found and should be able to clarify it for you.

My understanding is that although you’d be registering online your name etc, you would not be fully registered until they received the referenced documents.

Some people, not requiring exemptions etc, could fully complete the registration process online.

    Hi...
I'm almost certain that you need to send everything to the UK when registering. I know I did anyway. And they didn't get mine till after 31st December but I rang the head office and they said it would be ok seen as though I sent them before the 31st Dec.
Ring the Head office to double check

Registration date as per my ID was the date ACCA HQ (Scotland isn't it?) received my supporting documentation. I did it online and had to send the supporting documentation ot their office abroad in Scotland if I remember correctly that was 18mths ago so I don't know if it has changed since.

As per above - contact them and they'll clarify.

Maybe if you have a cert of postage for before the 31st which you can scan and email that would cover the deadline - ask and see, one can but try.

Thanks for the replies, i found out today that i still have time to register, i have submitted the online part - but I am unsure if i have paid - i used a lazer card with mastro written on it assuming that I would be told if it was unacceptable - but i wasn't, i just got to the page with the pdf file to send.

    Any ideas?

They charge it when they get your stuff and complete the registration.

Also, An post's Swift Post is your friend at this stage.

I'd hate to rely on getting post through to Scotland by Year's End during this weather.

Perhaps you could fly over with it? ;)

Do they accept couriers - will there be anyone there to sign for it over Christmas?

Will you be able to find a courier who can guarantee delivery?

Maybe Express Post International with An Post - €8.70 for a large envelope less than 100g in 2 working days to Urban centres in the UK - However they will not guarantee this time.

Considering airport closures/flight cancelations it is unlikely anyone can say they will deliver with certainty but there are 5 working days between now and the 31st.

I dunno for defo - if they say they guarantee it, i have 5 working days for it to get there, realistically though if it gets there a day or 2 late will they refuse if based on the fact postal services will have been delayed, and also since i contacted them and they said i still have time to register.

I must also say that the irish site is very misleading stating that docs can be sent to their office and only time you find out you can't is when you get to the last page (after submitting payment details).

Anyway - worse thing that can happen is i don't get reg for June - still going to be doin the exams sooner or later.

Was talking to a guy in the Glasgow HQ today and he said it would also be acceptable to scan the documents onto a email and send it on that way,Could be a good back up in case your parcel don't get there on time.Sending mine in the morning but its a bit tight.
