Big changes at Skoda

Appears Skoda Ireland are carring out radical changes to there dealer network
In Cork Jerry Collins motors a Skoda dealer since 1994 has been replaced by Finbarr Galvins(formulaly Renault)
Phoenix Motors In Dublin who could have been judged as a premier dealership have been replaced by Pilse Autos in Ballymount
And possibly Newport motors in limerick have lost the Skoda agency to Hogans VW dealers
Seems that VWGI are showing no loyalty to the dealers who have carried the Skoda brand from the years when they were a joke car to there current position in the Irish car market
How will this reflect on Skoda customers whom have continuesly dealt with the unfortunate dealers who no longer carried the agency?

It won't. Unless the dealer goes out of business they can still service the cars etc.

Does anyone know any more about this? Any truth to Skoda moving dealerships from Newport Motors to Frank Hogans? What would be the reasoning behind such a move? We have both VW & Skoda at home and I have found the staff at Newport much better to deal with than Frank Hogans.

That was posted on VAGdrivers at the start of November.
Phoenix went out of business apparantly and Pilsen took over from them.
